Name: Esprito Breed: Xoloitzcuintli Gender: Male Bio: Never much of a talker, the first thing you'll notice about this guy is how quiet he is. And it's not just that he doesn't talk - his breathing, his footsteps, and everything else he does is silent. Perhaps it's because he doesn't technically exist. Epsrito (a name derived from 'espíritu,' the spanish word for ghost) was born a normal dog. He lived on the streets, never calling a single family his own. Instead, he was a community dog. Wherever somebody needed him, he went. It continued this way for five years, until the accident happened. It was the Day of the Dead. He can't recall that morning, but when he woke up, he had changed. His body was decorated in vibrant colors, and his eyes had become a deep green. Even his skin had a new radiance, and his paws glowed gold beneath him. Terrified, he ran until he made his way back home. The city was celebrating. He wove through families, not noticing that they took no notice of him. After some time, he realized what had happened. Going back the way he came, he stopped by every family he had ever known. Though they couldn't see them, he knew they sensed him, and that brought him joy. Being dead means that Esprito can walk between worlds freely. He spends his time comforting grieving families, and never fails to visit of the Day of the Dead.
